The two Swiss BLACKOUT pilots deliver a perfect show and impress the top-class jury in three flawless rounds with a technically demanding program. The audience was also impressed by the strong performance. The event on Lake Geneva is one of the most renowned and popular events in the field of acrobatic paragliding. More than 30,000 spectators attended the spectacle on the weekend of August 21-23 in glorious sunshine. The lakeside promenade of Villeneuve was transformed into a grandstand and the audience experienced the air show over the lake basin up close and cheered on the world’s elite pilots. Synchronized acrobatics is one of the highest levels of difficulty in paragliding and requires perfect teamwork and maximum precision under the extreme strain placed on pilots and equipment. The judging criteria are technique, choreography, landing and synchronization. David and Jérémy perform a high level of difficulty with their program in perfect execution. The Swiss team relies on the innovative wings from U-Turn and is flying with the new BLACKOUT acro wing this season. The precise yet simple handling of the dynamic wing is particularly noticeable in synchronized acrobatics. According to the two pilots, the wing implements control impulses without delay and with absolute precision, but is still forgiving if the timing is not one hundred percent right. The BLACKOUT has also been optimized with regard to the new twisted tricks. Especially the homogeneous turning during negative maneuvers in combination with the super handling make the BLACKOUT the first choice for learning the new tricks. The two professional riders agree that twisted tricks have never been as easy to perform as with the BLACKOUT. U-Turn congratulates the two ambitious acro pilots David and Jérémy on their outstanding achievement
