U-Turn Acro Team pilots Cesar Arevalo and Andres Villamizar win Overall World Cup Synchro

The Acroteam has now won the overall World Cup in the synchronized competition. "We congratulate the exceptional pilots Cesar Arevalo and Andres Villamizar on this success," says founder Thomas Vosseler, delighted with the gold medal.

Arevalo and Villamizar showed outstanding performances during the final World Cup in Albania, which enabled them to reach the top step of the podium.
Synchronized acrobatics is considered the supreme discipline in the paragliding world, as the difficult figures have to be flown together with a partner within a choreography. The two pilots use the particularly dynamic “Joker” competition wing, which is available in closely graduated sizes. The Colombian Arevalo came 5th overall in the individual World Cup. “I will train even harder and more often in order to achieve a podium place in the singles next season,” says the U-Turn pilot, who is regarded as highly talented. Vosseler sees the success as confirmation of the company’s constant research and development work in collaboration with chief designer Ernst Strobl: “It’s a bit like Formula 1: the findings from the high-performance sector naturally also flow into the development of our series wings, which are thus becoming increasingly safer for amateur pilots.”
