The EVEREST# is built for the pure hunger for adventure beyond any convention. Designed for alpine adventures, fast ascents and pure moments of experience, the maneuverable wing ensures playful versatility.
Innovations
Chief designer Ernst Strobl has opted for a new line geometry with three sheathed main lines for the upgrade. This not only ensures easier handling when launching off-road and when putting on the ears, but also has a very positive effect on the overall flight characteristics. At the same time, 12m of lines have been saved, which together with the smaller diameters results in approx. 8% less line resistance. A and B line attachment points are completely suspended from the profile, which saves V-rib material and increases the weight distribution per line attachment on the profile. The modified wing pre-tensioning and the lighter Precision Profile Nose (PPN) ensure optimum airflow around the profile. Elaborate recalculations of the cross-ventilation using the High Pressure Crossport Design (HPCD) help the wing to achieve a balanced internal pressure.
High Pressure Crossport Design
Material
In the material mix of the EVEREST#, particular emphasis was placed on durability and profile fidelity and not just on weight reduction. Instead, the focus was on the proven long-term durability of the materials. The lightweight Dokdo 10D material used has a double-sided coating and is not only the lightest material on the market, but also superior to conventional materials in terms of porosity. The design is deliberately limited to the highly stressed front area of the upper sail, where the hard-wearing Dokdo 20 is used.
