Chief designer Ernst Strobl relies on the efficient basic concept of the Eternity for the ASTERION LT, which gives the wing its good-natured characteristics. 3D shaping and optimized wing pretensioning ensure perfect airflow around the wing, while the Precision Profile Nose System (PPN) ensures optimum airflow to the profile. Miniribs and the Brake Gathering System (BGS) help the profile to retain its shape at the trailing edge and thus transfer control impulses precisely to the wing. A very clear line concept with few main lines provides a good overview and orientation of the line levels during take-off. The risers are equipped with an efficient trimmer which accelerates the maneuverable wing to 13 km/h.
High Definition Profile
Kunststoff-Stäbchen werden in die Profiloberseite des Flügels eingearbeitet und decken zwischen 45 und 80% der Flächentiefe ab.
Line Loop protection
Ein in die Verbindungslasche eingespleister Kevlarkern schützt den Loop und reduziert den Oberflächendruck bei den Leinenverbindungen.
Precision Profile Nose
Das Precision Profile Nose-System sorgt mit Kunststoff-Verstärkungen in den Vernähungen für die Stabilität der Profilnase und optimiert damit die Strömung entlang der gesamten Eintrittsöffnung.
3D Shape
Das 3D Shaping sorgt für die gezielte Kontrolle der Spannung des Flügels und somit für ein optimiertes Ballooning und eine faltenfreie Konturführung.
Material
Lightweight construction becomes intelligent when the right material is used in the right places. The selective use of material thicknesses of the top materials Dokdo 30 and 20, as well as Skytex 27, ensure an optimum power-to-weight ratio with a very long service life and dimensional stability. This enables maximum durability with optimum weight management. The low weight of the wing itself stores less energy and therefore favors a good-natured reaction behavior. All materials, without exception, have been tested under the tough criteria of long-term durability.
